What we're looking for
Wookey Hole Hotel is searching for enthusiatic and energetic housekeepers to join our busy team and be responsible for cleaning and maintaining our 58 hotel rooms and 10 hot tub lodges.
With part time and full time roles available, you'll help to ensure our guest bedrooms, lodges, bathrooms and public areas are sparkling and clean, so that our guests can enjoy their stay in comfort.
Main duties of the post
1. To clean guest bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas.
2. To change and replenish bed linen, towels and guest amenities in line with company guidelines.
3. To undertake regular deep cleaning tasks.
4. To restock and maintain the linen store and housekeeping trolley.
5. To consistently achieve the standards of cleanliness, product presentation and guest care in all guest rooms and public areas.
6. To record all tasks and cleaning duties on relevant checklists in accordance with company guidelines
7. To be comfortable working both independently and in a team of other housekeepers in a fast-paced environment.
8. To ensure the appropriate level of security for all guest belongings, creating a feeling of comfort and confidence.
9. To maintain a clean and smart appearance at all times in the staff uniform provided.
10. To greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, assist with requests to the best of your ability or handover to the front desk team when necessary.
What we need from you!
You'll have experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role already, preferably from within the hospitality/hotel sector. We are looking for candidates who are organised and efficient, punctual, able to work to varying work loads and to meet deadlines. Great attention to detail is a must, with a keen eye to help us maintain our high standards. Great communication skills are essential and the ability to manage your own time with little supervision.
