Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant and Domestic to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The successful candidate will play a vital part in assisting with daily activities, maintaining a clean environment, and supporting residents or clients with their personal needs. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided. A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a caring nature are essential for this position.
Duties
- Assisting residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting individuals with mobility and daily activities in accordance with care plans
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment through domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding if required
- Providing companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Administering medication as instructed and following health & safety protocols
- Documenting care provided accurately in accordance with organisational procedures
- Assisting with organising activities to promote mental and physical well-being
- Driving clients or residents to appointments or outings when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation of clients or residents
- Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage time effectively
