Transaction Manager required for busy main Toyota dealership in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. Sales experience is an essential requirement for this role. Full driving licence is also required. There are many benefits including a company car and a basic of £30,000, with OTE to £55,000.
The Transaction Manager will assist the General Sales Manager in supporting the Sales Team with every transaction to ensure the customer journey is smooth and consistent, yet tailored to their specific needs.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar role within a car dealership.
Builds rapport and qualifies the customer’s requirements
- Talks and listens to customers to build rapport and understand their requirements – both their stated and unconscious needs
- Qualifies own understanding of the customer's needs – through discussion and gauging the customer’s reaction to alternative options – to build the closest possible match between the product and customer
- Demonstrates the most suitable options to the customer, understanding and adapting to their buying strategy
Uses a good understanding of the customer’s needs to guide him/her towards the best choice for them
Agrees the details of the sale
- Checks the credit status of each customer and proposes the customer to finance providers in accordance with TGB and dealership policies
- Establishes clear title for any vehicle purchased or obtained by the dealership
- Works with customers in a friendly and open way to identify the most appropriate finance, warranty or insurance package
- Produces and explains finance quotes, using a knowledge of the cost and margin of various funding options to maximise commission whilst also meeting customer needs
- Agrees the payment method with the customer, completing all relevant administration in accordance with provider policy and current legislation
Manages performance to achieve key targets and deliver continuous improvement
- Monitors own performance against agreed sales targets (e.g. volume and profit), working with the General Sales Manager to review progress and develop action plans where appropriate
Works as a full member of the centre team
- Works with colleagues and other teams across the centre to provide a seamless service to customers (e.g. by informally observing and responding to the needs of customers who are not being attended to by other members of staff)
Ensures opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate specialist
