We are looking for language assistants to give French pupils a true, immersive experience of the English language in towns and cities all around France. Through this program, our aim is to maximise English comprehension by teaching non-linguistic subjects.
Placement dates : - January/February/March onwards until July 2027
This placement is available in various locations across France.
What does the placement consist of?
- One-week training either face to face or online depending on your placement
- Teaching 24 hours a week, along with 11 hours of assisted preparation in one of our partner schools in France, teaching certain subjects, such as art, sport and science to pupils aged from 3-11 years old
- Weekly training sessions with pedagogical manager
- Helping staff with the supervision of pupils during non-class hours
- Weekly phone calls with Language Connexion to discuss concerns and evaluate your progress
- Help with the visa process
- This is a paid placement based on the French internship wage
What are we looking for?
- Native or excellent English language level
- You are a registered student at a higher education institution
- Good basis in the French language
- You enjoy working with/being around kids (previous experience working with children is preferred, but not mandatory)
- You are independent and positive and have a vibrant and energetic personality
