Overview
Judges Building Services Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable General Builder to join our team in Essex. Duties
- Undertake general building tasks including bricklaying, plastering, carpentry, and roofing as required.
- Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring work is completed to high standards and within specified deadlines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately carry out tasks.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and subcontractors on-site to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Conduct quality inspections on completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment needed for various projects.
Experience
- Proven experience as a general builder or in a similar construction role within the UK building industry.
- Knowledge of current building regulations, health & safety standards, and best practices.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project plans accurately.
- Skilled in the use of various hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Construction or related fields are preferred but not essential.
Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship on every project undertaken.
Pay: £220.00-£280.00 per day
