Progress Teachers are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN Hub.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support within the school's SEN Hub
- Support the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised support strategies
- Encourage pupil engagement, independence, confidence, and emotional regulation
- Adapt learning activities using communication, sensory, and practical support approaches
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs to access learning successfully
- Work closely with the SENCo, teachers, external professionals, and families to provide consistent support
- Promote positive behaviour and help create a calm, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Contribute to pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs
- Has a patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Has experience supporting children with ASC, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, or SEMH
- Is confident using positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent)
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
