Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll Assistant to support our payroll Manager for 8 hours a week, spread across two days. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing of weekly employee payments for multiple clients, maintaining payroll records, and assisting with related administrative tasks.
Duties
- Assist in processing weekly payroll using sage.
- Input and verify data entries related to employee hours, leave and other payroll information.
- Manage accounts payable processes related to payroll expenses.
- Support the preparation of payroll reports and analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of employee information and payroll transactions.
- Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Proficiency in payroll and accounting software such as Sage.
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
- Analytical skills to interpret payroll data and generate reports effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively across departments.
- Prior experience in a payroll is essential.
