The Family Nursery is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Chef to join our friendly team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, Approximately 8:30am – 4:00pm (with some flexibility for the right candidate)
About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting children’s health and wellbeing by preparing nutritious, balanced meals and snacks each day. You will be responsible for managing the kitchen, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and ensuring all dietary requirements are safely catered for.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children.
Organising and managing the kitchen efficiently.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
Preparing alternative meals to accommodate allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural preferences.
Managing stock levels and food orders.
Ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations and government guidelines.
Working collaboratively with the nursery team to support children’s wellbeing.
About You
An experienced Cook or Chef with a good understanding of children’s nutrition.
Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards.
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
Positive, enthusiastic, and a strong team player.
Food Hygiene qualification desirable (or willingness to obtain one).
