Restaurant Manager – Waterman House
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead our enthusiastic and passionate team at Waterman House.
Waterman House is Belfast’s newest restaurant, cookery school and event space serving great food, unparalleled service, and culinary creative experience. Located in Belfast city centres Cathedral Quarter, minutes away from Belfast’s Merchant Hotel, St. Annes Cathedral and The Mac, we are creating a culinary destination.
What you do:
As Restaurant Manager your role is to take responsibility for leading the team and taking responsibility for the day-to-day business performance of the restaurant.
Key Areas of responsibility will include:
- Providing excellent customer service
- Training, recruitment & staff management
- Organising staff shifts and scheduling
- Working with food and drink suppliers
- Planning menus
- Maintaining safe working conditions
- Customer experience & satisfaction
- Business performance of the restaurant
- Day to operations management from business development, to health and safety, security and maintenance of the business;

Job Description -Summary
The Restaurant Manager overall role is to ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining the brand values, reputation and working principles.
The Manager is responsible for the business performance, the welfare and development of the staff and maintaining high standards of food, the overall customer experience and general health and safety.
Relationships
- Reports directly to General Manager
- Liaise weekly with the team on staff management and customer experience review and development
- Liaise with the team on all relevant areas including payroll, HR issues and general restaurant operational areas
- Liaise with the team on all financial areas including budget and profitability management
- Manage the team to ensure they are properly trained, motivated and doing their jobs to the required standards
- Direct and manage customers and ensure their expectations are exceeded by delivering a consistently excellent experience
- Manage supplier relationships effectively
- Develop opportunities for the business and its customer base, through the sales and marketing team
Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience. Salary reviewed annually
