Following the successful opening of the dual-branded Aloft & Residence Inn by Marriott Belfast in the iconic Titanic Quarter, we are looking for an F&B Shift Leader to join our Food & Beverage team and contribute to the continued success of this exciting new destination.

Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and guest-focused F&B Shift Leader to support the daily operation of our Food & Beverage outlets. You will be responsible for leading the team during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational standards, and supporting the delivery of outstanding food and beverage service across both hotels.
As the senior operational contact during your shift, you will take ownership of service delivery, team performance, guest satisfaction, and the smooth running of the Food & Beverage operation.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise the Food & Beverage team during assigned shifts across Aloft and Residence Inn Belfast.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and create memorable dining experiences.
- Conduct shift briefings and allocate duties to team members.
- Support and motivate colleagues to achieve high standards of service and presentation.
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and service recovery situations professionally.
- Oversee the smooth operation of breakfast, bar, lounge, and event service areas.
- Monitor staffing levels and support operational planning throughout the shift.
- Ensure opening, closing, and shift handover procedures are completed accurately.
- Support stock management, ordering, stock rotation, and inventory control processes.
- Promote menu items, daily specials, and upselling opportunities to maximise revenue.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, allergen, and licensing regulations.
- Work closely with the kitchen, front office, and other hotel departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Assist with training, coaching, and development of team members.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Supervisor, Shift Leader, or senior hospitality role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within a hotel environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Marriott standards is desirable but not essential.
