Job Description
Position: Multis / Joiner
Location: Various sites across Yorkshire and surrounding areas
The Multis / Joiner is responsible for carrying out a variety of skilled joinery, maintenance, and multi-trade tasks across residential properties. This role involves working within high-end markets for the UK's leading developers and retirement companies, delivering high-quality repairs, installations, and finishing works.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Carry out all aspects of first and second fix joinery, including fitting doors, skirting boards, architraves, kitchens, flooring, stair components, and other timber installations.
- Complete a wide range of multi-trade repairs and maintenance, including basic plastering, tiling, painting, patch repairs, and general property maintenance where required.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble timber and other building materials in accordance with project specifications.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality finish.
- Manage materials effectively, minimising waste and ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and maintaining clean and safe working areas.
- Communicate professionally with clients, site managers, and colleagues to ensure projects are completed to customer satisfaction.
- Provide trade expertise across additional trades, delivering an efficient and high-quality repairs and maintenance service.
- Be willing to upskill and develop to undertake a broad range of trade work.
- Work alongside other tradespeople, providing support and guidance where apprentices are involved.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively, undertaking additional training where required.
- Drive and be responsible for a company vehicle in accordance with company policies, including completing weekly vehicle checks.
- Use and be responsible for a company mobile phone in accordance with company procedures.
- Complete all associated paperwork and job documentation accurately.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience: Proven experience as a Joiner or Multi-Skilled Operative with a strong background in domestic repairs, maintenance, and installations. Experience within responsive maintenance or residential construction is advantageous.
Education: Relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent). Valid CSCS card required.

Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
- Competent in undertaking a wide variety of tasks outside your primary trade
- Own tools to complete tasks effectively
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Able to provide two references

You Will Receive
- Salary in the region of £32,000 - £37,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
- Permanent contract working Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with flexibility required to meet business and customer needs, including occasional evening/weekend work
