Universal search group are seeking a Coded Welder to join our client in Ottringham, North Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of Coding processes. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Welder will work primarily in a manufacturing environment, contributing to the assembly line.
Duties
- Perform Coded Welding techniques.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure precise fabrication.
- Conduct pipe threading and rigging as required for specific projects.
- Collaborate with team members to complete assembly tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding, particularly MIG and TIG techniques.
- Coded welding experience
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience with fabrication processes.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Hourly rate:
- £18.00 - £19.50 per hour -PAYE
Overtime rate (Kicks in after 39 hours)
