Job description:
An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Senior / Qualified Accountant with a proven track record in private practice for a busy Chartered Accountants office near Paisley. The firm is independently owned and has seen significant growth in recent years with a strong reputation for being passionate about the service and advice offered to clients.

Main duties and responsibilities:-
- Preparing sole trader, partnership and Limited Company accounts to a high standard and ensuring compliance with FRS102 Section 1A and FRS105 UK standards,
- Preparing management accounts from trial balance within tight deadlines and development of bespoke reporting packs for clients where needed,
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns including partial exemption,
- Preparing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
- Preparing self -assessment tax returns and having suitable general personal tax experience including Capital Gains Tax.
- Managing client relationships,
- Promoting development of younger team members and reviewing work and providing review feedback.
Skills and Experience:
At least two years experience in a similar role most likely from a small or medium sized practice thus allowing a broad range of experience and knowledge to be brought to the role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero, FreeAgent & TaxCalc.
- Good technical knowledge both in accounting standards, disclosure and tax associated with OMB and comfortable with dealing with HMRC,
- Personable, warm and confident personality with a positive can do attitude,
- Eligibility to work in the UK,
- Membership of a UK Chartered Accountancy Body,
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with staff and clients at all levels effectively,
- Creative approach to problem solving and ability to balance initiative with seeking help.
This role is based on a 37.5 hour working week, a hybrid working arrangement may be available.
Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
