The Opportunity
Looking to work in a pristine, modern environment with top-tier diagnostic equipment? Due to a major workshop expansion, we are looking for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic / MOT Tester to join our enthusiastic, forward-thinking team.

Whether you are already a fully qualified MOT tester or an experienced mechanic looking for a company to fully fund and support your MOT license training, we want to hear from you. We offer a transparent, highly competitive salary structure up to £45,000, excellent bonus potential, and an adult workshop culture.
The Role
This is a hands-on, varied role where you will manage full-service vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and MOT compliance testing.

- Mechanical Excellence: Execute a wide range of mechanical tasks including routine servicing, cambelt replacements, suspension overhauls, brake system repairs, and complex fault diagnostics.
- MOT Compliance: Conduct thorough, accurate vehicle inspections in line with DVSA standards across Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles (or train to do so).
- Advanced Alignment: Utilize premium Hunter alignment equipment to deliver high-precision chassis tracking and geometry profiling.
- Customer Advisory: Act as a knowledgeable and reassuring voice, translating complex mechanical faults and repair solutions into clear, understandable explanations for our customers.
- Workshop Presentation: Maintain an organized, safe workstation, making effective use of our fully supplied diagnostic systems and specialist heavy machinery.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven, solid track record working as a vehicle technician or mechanic in a commercial workshop environment.
- MOT Status: A valid DVSA MOT Tester license is highly preferable. However, we are completely open to funding the full training package for a highly skilled mechanic looking to secure their ticket.
- Communication: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to explain technical problems and solutions clearly to non-technical vehicle owners.
- Equipment: Must possess your own comprehensive set of personal hand tools standard to the automotive trade. (We provide all specialist heavy machinery and advanced diagnostics).
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence to facilitate vehicle moving and road testing.
What We Provide
