Job Overview
We are seeking a Fully Qualified Kitchen Fitter / Finishing Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in high-quality kitchen installation and joinery finishing, ensuring precise craftsmanship and attention to detail. Duties
- Fabricate and assemble kitchen units, cabinets, and bespoke joinery components using hand tools and power tools
- Fit kitchens with precision, ensuring alignment, levelness, and secure fixing in accordance with design specifications
- Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, sealing, and polishing to achieve a professional finish
- Install fixtures including worktops, appliances, plumbing connections, and electrical fittings where applicable
- Conduct site measurements and prepare accurate cutting lists for fabrication
- Work collaboratively with other trades such as roofing, masonry, or electrical specialists when required
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency on site
- Assist with minor carpentry repairs or modifications as needed during project completion
Experience
- Proven experience as a kitchen fitter or finishing joiner with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Skilled in fabrication, assembly, and fitting of kitchens or similar cabinetry work
- Proficient with hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), and specialised joinery equipment
- Strong background in carpentry and joinery techniques
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, masonry or construction painting is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation processes
- Experience working within construction sites or residential environments with adherence to health & safety standards
