Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Carer to provide personalised care and support to clients in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, and senior support, with a strong emphasis on promoting independence and well-being. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a respectful and nurturing environment, ensuring clients' comfort and safety at all times. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, medication management, meal preparation, and behaviour support, all within a professional and caring framework.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalised care to clients, including assistance with mobility, personal hygiene, and daily routines
- Administer medication accurately in accordance with prescribed schedules
- Support clients with activities of daily living such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
- Manage behaviour and provide emotional support for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments
- Assist with specialised care needs including hospice care and palliative support
- Ensure a safe environment by monitoring health conditions and recognising potential risks
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
- Maintain detailed records of care provided and any changes in health status
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary
Skills
- Driving ( Posses driver licence)
- Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards clients of all ages
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or transfers
- Excellent organisational skills for managing medication schedules and daily routines
- First aid certification and ability to respond effectively in emergencies
- Good driving skills for transporting clients safely to appointments or outings
- Capable of meal preparation tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Experience in behaviour management techniques for clients with cognitive impairments
- Reliable, patient-focused, with excellent communication skills and organisational abilities
Pay: £600.00-£1,000.00 per week
