We are currently recruiting on behalf of a nursery for a Deputy Manager to join their well established team
About The Role
The nursery are happy to consider someone who would like to take a step into the management team from their current room leader role, or someone who has experience of being part of a management team and is looking to make an impact on provision and practice in a new setting.

The position would be room based with additional responsibilities and movement around the nursery to coach and develop the rest of the team.
Hours
Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Support the use and understanding of in the moment planning alongside the EYFS development matters
- Ensure that you understand your role in safeguarding children (DSL training provided)
- Work in partnership with parents as a key-person
- Manage the team effectively, to maintain the safety and well-being of the children, a happy atmosphere, and staff: child ratios at all times
- With support from the Manager coach, praise and reprimand staff where necessary. To ensure high standards are consistently achieved, following policy and practice, and that the team feel motivated and happy in their role
- Recognise when staff need/want additional support or training and make suggestions to the Manager.
- Make suggestions to the Manager of ways to improve levels of education and care across the nursery setting.
To be considered for the role of Assistant Deputy Manager you will have;
· Minimum Level 3 or equivalent qualification A relevant Foundation Degree or HND would be an advantage. A Degree in early years, childcare, child development or related subject would be highly desirable.
· A caring and patient nature
· A team player attitude aswell as the initiative to work alone
· A flexible approach to work and be able to adapt to change
· Desire for change and positive improvement
Please note that all candidates will be required to complete a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service Check) but this will be paid for by the company.
