Overview
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Assistant/Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to customers, assisting with stock management, and supporting daily warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Assisting customers on the shop floor by providing product information and recommendations
- Handling sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Upselling products to maximise sales opportunities
- Organising and replenishing stock displays to ensure attractive presentation
- Managing stock levels and assisting with inventory checks
- Supporting warehouse operations including loading, unloading, and storing goods
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace in both retail and warehouse areas
- Providing excellent phone etiquette when dealing with customer enquiries or supplier communications
- Supporting merchandising activities to promote products effectively
- Managing time efficiently to complete tasks within designated shifts
Skills
- Strong communication skills for engaging with customers and team members
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Excellent organisational skills to manage stock and maintain tidy displays
- Good time management to prioritise tasks effectively during shifts
- Ability to demonstrate phone etiquette when liaising with clients or suppliers
