An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Recovery Worker to join the Trafford Neighbourhood Mental Health Service.
The service aims to provide timely access to mental health support, particularly for individuals who may not meet the threshold for specialist services. It focuses on delivering goal-based, time-limited interventions, promoting independence, recovery, and community integration through a trauma-informed and person-centred approach.
The service is delivered through multidisciplinary teams, including mental health practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists, recovery workers, wellbeing practitioners, pharmacists and peer support workers. It adopts a holistic model, considering psychological, social and physical needs, and works collaboratively with local partners to provide coordinated care.
Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.
As a recovery worker you will be working intensively with service users, enabling them to live their lives and achieve their own goals - with support from a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, social workers, psychologists, and medical staff.
The post holder will support individuals in their recovery through using a variety of interventions to promote independence, functioning and social inclusion.
Interventions may involve activities of daily living, vocational and educational aspirations, development of family and social relationships, attending appointments, accessing meaningful activities.
The post holder will support services users in a variety of setting, but they will be encouraged to come into the community setting.
The role currently operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 5pm.
