Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing and safe environment. Duties
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental needs
- Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and their families
- Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
- Support children's emotional well-being and behaviour management through positive reinforcement techniques
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop the nursery's curriculum and improve service quality
- Lead by example in implementing nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards
- Assist with the organisation of staff rotas, training sessions, and team meetings as part of management responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding children's progress and any concerns or updates
- Contribute to the ongoing professional development of team members through mentoring and leadership
Qualifications
- Level 3 Childcare Qualification or equivalent recognised early childhood education qualification
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of child development principles and childcare regulations
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external meetings or training sessions
