About 30Seconds Group
We operate the UK's leading indoor digital communication network: smart displays in lift lobbies, connected to our cloud platform, letting property managers run tenant communication across every site from one dashboard. Started in Manchester, we now cover 700+ sites in 20 cities, reaching 44,000+ households, and we're growing fast.
The role
You'll be the senior front-end engineer on our cloud-based notice management platform, owning the experience property managers rely on daily. Use cases include pushing a fire safety notice to a building and residents see it within seconds, setting a maintenance notice and have it displayed on the pre-defined schedule. The product is in active development, so there's room to shape both the codebase and its direction. The team is small enough that you'll see the impact of what you ship, and senior enough that we'll trust your calls.
What you'll do
- Lead front-end development and own the architecture of the React/TypeScript codebase: set conventions, raise the quality bar
- Build interfaces for content scheduling, media upload, portfolio management, and resident engagement (QR feedback, polls, surveys)
- Work directly with back-end engineers on API design, not just consuming what's handed to you
- Contribute to product decisions, as you'll often have the clearest view of what's possible
- Care about reliability and accessibility, people use this to communicate critical safety information
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building production web apps, with significant React and TypeScript experience
- A track record of owning front-end work end-to-end: architecture, delivery, testing, performance, error handling
- Strong product sense: you push back on specs that don't make sense and propose better alternatives
- Solid CSS and a real eye for UI quality (you need not be a designer, but you should care)
- Comfort in a small, fast-moving team, integrating with REST/modern APIs
What we offer
- £50,000 to £60,000 salary, hybrid working from our Manchester office
- 28 days paid holiday a year (including bank holidays), pension
- A senior team where your decisions actually ship, on genuinely interesting problems. Your work goes onto physical screens in real buildings across the UK
- Real ownership: you'll make architectural calls that stick, not implement someone else's design doc
- Software you can walk past and see running in buildings across the UK
