About Us:
The Hay Shed is a growing business dedicated to supplying premium-quality hay and forage products to the small pet market. As demand for our products continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and conscientious Warehouse & Packing Operative to join our friendly team.
The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our team Monday to Friday. Working hours can be discussed with individual candidates, and occasional Saturday morning work may be required during busy periods. This is a varied, hands-on role within our warehouse and production operation, offering the opportunity to become an important part of a growing local business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assisting with stock control and stock-taking activities
- Preparing and organising stock for production and dispatch
- Liaising with courier companies to ensure smooth and timely collections
- Supporting and working alongside our hay production team
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Excellent attention to detail A positive, can-do attitude
- Good organisational skills
- The ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and support different areas of the business when needed
Previous warehouse, packing, production, agricultural, or manufacturing experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Please note that this role involves regular manual handling and physical work, including lifting and moving products throughout the working day.
