Assistant Lettings Manager - Prime Independent Agency
£35,000 basic, £55,000 to £60,000+ OTE
Does this sound like you?
You're a Senior Lettings Negotiator at a larger agency, or already an Assistant Lettings Manager elsewhere. You've been there three years or more, your numbers are strong, and you've stepped into leadership and discovered you're good at it. You want more of it. You're obsessed with winning deals and hitting targets, and you know that in lettings, a structured day and real discipline are what separate the great from the good.
But progression has stalled. The manager above you isn't moving. You're ready for more ownership, more visibility, and a seat where your contribution genuinely shapes the business, not absorbed into someone else's branch P&L.
If that's where you are, we'd like to meet you.
About the role
We are a fast-growing sales and lettings agency in prime central London, specialising in some of the city's most prestigious residential developments. We are growing the lettings team and looking for an experienced Assistant Lettings Manager to help us push into the next stage.
This is a senior, hands-on role focused on revenue. You'll drive your own deals, lead the negotiators day-to-day, and work closely with the wider lettings, BD, and property management teams. You'll report into the Lettings Manager and work alongside her as her right hand on revenue and team performance.
The person we're looking for
Beyond the experience and instincts you've already brought with you, the person who'll thrive here is someone who:
- Brings the human touch alongside the discipline, so landlords, tenants, and the team all feel looked after rather than processed
- A results-driven communicator: clear, well-articulated, and able to move landlords, tenants, and the team to action
- Lifts the team's energy when the market gets hard, when deals fall through, when landlords are difficult
- Wants to make a visible difference in a smaller, faster-moving environment, not the anonymity of a larger desk
Key responsibilities
Most of the value in this role comes from the day-to-day mechanics of running a tight, high-converting team. We expect this to look like:
- Working shoulder to shoulder with our conversion-focused negotiator team to push every deal across the line
- Sharing ideas on the difficult negotiations with landlords and tenants
- Cross-selling across the portfolio so quality applicants don't walk away empty-handed
- Driving the brief into BD when we have the applicant but not the stock
- Pursuing landlords with proper market intelligence and realistic price expectations
- Personally driving your own deals from inquiry through viewing, offer, and signed AST
- Maintaining quality and compliance: referencing, AST integrity, AML, and sanctions
- Reporting into the Lettings Manager and contributing to weekly reporting and team strategy
What we offer
- Basic salary: £35,000
- Quarterly team bonus
- Personal deal commission on deals closed
- On-target earnings: £55,000 to £60,000+
