Job Overview
We are seeking two highly skilled and passionate room leads to join our caring, passionate and supportive team.
The successful candidates will be required to oversee one of our three provisions (under two, two year old provision or pre-school provision) as well as working alongside management to ensure that the nursery is running to an exceptional standard.
If you have extensive knowledge of child development, previous experience working as a room leader and have the ability to lead and inspire a small team we would love to hear from you.
A minimum qualification of a level 3 EYE is required for this role.
The nursery is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00pm 51 weeks per year. The successful individual will need to offer flexibility to meet the needs of the nursery.
Key responsibilities
· Leading a small team within a base room
· Supporting our team to grow and perform at a continuous high standard, whilst ensuring that all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to
· Engaging our team to create inspirational, creative and effective learning environments in line with the needs of the children and the nursery.
· To continue enhancing our home from home approach
· Ensuring the safety and welfare of children
· Strong knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
· Adhering and embedding the nursery policies and procedures
· Implementing the EYFS with strong understanding of child development
· The confidence to report issues of concerns to senior team members or relevant services
· Partnership working with parents and our partners to ensure children thrive
· Positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery
· Clear and accurate record keeping and report writing
· Promote a high standard of quality within the nursery including practice, environment and resources in line with the nursery expectations
· Supporting the management to further develop the setting
Essentials
· Minimum full and relevant level 3 Early Years qualification
· Strong safeguarding knowledge
· At least two years experience working as a Early Years Practitioner or similar in an Early Years Setting
· Strong team player
· The ability to use own initiative with lots of self-motivation
· A exceptional knowledge of child development and how to support children
· A friendly, loving, approachable and warm manner
· Able to use a child centred learning approach
Pay: From £13.40 per hour
