Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to children. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children’s development, ensuring their safety, and fostering a positive environment. The role involves working closely with children, implementing care plans, and maintaining effective communication with families and colleagues.
Duties
- Assist children with daily activities, including personal care, play, and educational tasks
- Support children in developing social skills and independence through engaging activities
- Follow individualised care plans to meet each child's specific needs and goals
- Drive children to appointments, school, or activities as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour, and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies
- Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and external professionals regarding children's wellbeing
- Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes positive development
- Use IT systems to update records, document observations, and communicate with team members
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely for transporting children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Knowledge of child development principles and care plans
- IT literacy skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and wellbeing
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
