Calling All Musical Theatre Dance Teachers
Stage & Screen Academy—a vibrant performing arts school based at Salford City Academy—is seeking a musical theatre dance teacher who is passionate about putting on shows.
Requirements:
- Very reliable and punctual - able to commit to the teaching period agreed
- Holds a valid enhanced DBS check
- Experience working with young performers aged 7–18 as a teacher
- Able to keep a class under control
- Able to keep children safe - Good knowledge of safeguarding
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and inspiring
- Must be 19+ (We teach up to 18 olds)
Desired skills:
- Previous experience working with other creatives putting on musicals
- Driving license (to be able to get to the venue easily) We are just off the M60
- Based in Manchester
- Strong background in dance (please provide a dance showreel)
- Ability to create age appropriate choreography and film it for rehearsal videos
- Happy to get / or has a chaperone license and chaperone the show

Rehearsal Details
- When: Saturdays (term time)
- Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Where: Salford City Academy, Northfleet Road, Eccles, Manchester M30 7PQ

- Legally Blonde JR – Scheduled for 18th and 19th July 2026
- 2027 musical - 17th and 18th jul 2027
Pay is £20/h to £25/h dependant on experience. Higher end for those with several jr musical choreographer credits and with teaching qualifications
Up to £75 for the session, so approx £300 / month, so up to £3000 a year
