£36,000 per annum (inc vehicle/car allowance)

Silverwood Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client for an experienced Cleaning Operations Manager to oversee cleaning services across the renowned ICC Belfast and Ulster Hall venues.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a highly organised cleaning professional who is passionate about standards, presentation, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead cleaning operations across busy live-event environments, ensuring the venues consistently meet exceptional standards for visitors, clients, performers, and event organisers.
We are looking for a strong people manager with proven experience leading cleaning teams within large-scale venues, facilities, hospitality, healthcare, aviation, retail, or commercial environments where standards and attention to detail are critical.
The Role
As Cleaning Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of venue cleaning operations, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest possible standard before, during, and after events.
You will lead, motivate and develop a team of cleaning operatives while working closely with venue management and operational teams to deliver an outstanding environment across both venues.
This is a fast-paced operational role requiring flexibility, excellent organisation, and a proactive management style.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all cleaning operations across ICC Belfast and Ulster Hall
- Lead, supervise and support a team of cleaning operatives and supervisors
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout both venues
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits
- Manage staff rotas, holidays, absence and staffing levels in line with event schedules
- Ensure cleaning equipment and machinery are used safely and effectively
- Oversee stock control for cleaning materials, consumables and PPE
- Deliver training and maintain high performance standards within the team
- Respond professionally and efficiently to operational issues or complaints
- Work closely with venue management and attend operational meetings as required
- Support cleaning operations during major events, including evenings and weekends
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience managing cleaning operations within a large-scale or high-footfall environment
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- High standards and excellent attention to detail
- Experience managing rotas, staffing and operational performance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused and solutions-driven approach
- Full clean driving licence
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or equivalent)
