JSEN / Behavioural Teaching Assistant – Newport

Pay: £90 per day

We are currently recruiting an experienced SEN / Behavioural Teaching Assistant to work in schools across the Newport area. This role is suited to someone confident in supporting pupils with additional needs and managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEN and behavioural needs in and out of the classroom
- Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour management and de-escalation
- Working closely with class teachers and SEN staff
- Helping pupils access learning in a safe and supportive environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN and/or Behavioural Teaching Assistant
- Experience supporting challenging behaviour
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Valid EWC registration
- Two professional references
