Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our nursery as Apprentices at level 2 or 3. This paid apprenticeship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in early childhood education and childcare within a supportive environment. The role involves working closely with children, assisting with daily activities, and developing essential management and leadership skills for a future career in childcare. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in the nursery setting
- Assist qualified staff with supervising children during playtime, mealtimes, and nap times
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff
- Develop positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Support organisational tasks such as preparing learning materials and maintaining records
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance childcare knowledge and skills
- Drive company vehicles when required to support nursery outings or errands (where applicable)
Requirements
- Genuine interest in working with children and early childhood development
- Previous nursery experience or childcare qualifications are advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate leadership qualities when required
- Management skills or experience in leadership roles are desirable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Must be organised, reliable, and committed to professional development

Pay: £24,420.00-£43,876.06 per year
