Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. Duties
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
- Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and work orders.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to shape, cut, and assemble materials.
- Assist in the assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and fabricated parts to meet industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Skills
- Proven experience in MIG welding and general welding techniques.
- Strong knowledge of welding standards and practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of fabrication processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Competence in working with sheet metal and assembling components using basic math skills for measurements.
- Familiarity with assembly procedures and quality control standards.
