Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our private dental practice in Bournemouth every Wednesdays . The job is available from September 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care tailored to each patient, , hygiene led periodontal assessments and treatments, as well as hygiene maintenance, with Airflow or more advanced cleaning, promoting oral health education and helping patients maintain healthy, stable foundations before and alongside restorative and cosmetic treatments.
Responsibilities
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary advice, and preventive care strategies.
- Delivering high-quality hygiene, with full periodontal assessments including 6ppc measurements.
- Take and develop dental radiographs, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain detailed records of treatments provided.
- Support the dental team during procedures, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
- Maintain sterilisation protocols and ensure the cleanliness of all clinical areas.
- Providing a positive, calm, and confidence-building patient experience
Skills
- GDC-registered Dental Hygienist/Therapist
- A strong focus on prevention, education, and patient communication
- Confident working within a private, patient-led environment
- Someone who takes pride in delivering a high-quality patient care
- Excellent understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral structures.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
- Organised with meticulous attention to detail in record keeping and clinical procedures.
Pay: From £40.00 per hour
