Job Title: Warehouse Team Leader

Salary: £33,205.20 per year
Hours: Working hours are 5:30 p.m. to 02:30 a.m., Monday to Friday, with 30-minutes for break. (42.5 Hours per week.)

Our client based in Ipswich is looking for a permanent Warehouse Team Leader as they are expanding.
As a Warehouse Team Leader you will be responsible for:
- Deputising for the Night Shift Manager in their presence or absence.
- Liaising with the Warehouse Supervisor/Warehouse Operations Manager where applicable
- Lead and engage your Warehouse team to deliver high standards, including staff roll adjustments during shifts to meet operational requirements and ensuring high levels of hygiene and housekeeping within the warehouse.
- Manage Warehouse processes including product picking, product put away, loading and unloading of vehicles/containers.
- Be able to operate applicable MHE; including VNA Trucks, Counterbalance Fork Trucks, PPT’s, Vehicle Dock Bay Operations and additional mechanical equipment after suitable training.
- Support the Night Shift Manager in maintaining exemplary Health & Safety processes within the Warehouse and surrounding areas of work.
- Help to always maintain organisation and efficiency across the site.
- Be able to communicate and assist with the training of new processes and team members.
- This role will require strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Seek training to maintain skills and remain up to date with best practice.
- Carry out all procedures in a safe manner in accordance with training.
- Maintain responsibility for operational effectiveness of equipment and machinery and report faults in a timely manner.
- Maintain personal PPE.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned.
An ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience overseeing or supporting Warehouse teams.
- Experience of coaching or mentoring colleagues
- Strong and effective communication and time management skills
- Comfortable with working on your own initiative.
- Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- A commitment to teamwork
- Valid Forklift, VNA and PPT Certification, is essential
- Manual handling
- A practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work.
- A full driving license may be required, due to travelling between sites.
