Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leaders to oversee and coordinate our large pond works teams. The ideal candidates will possess strong pond knowledge and hands-on skills with various tools and equipment. This role involves leading a team to deliver high-quality pond construction, refurbishment and management solutions, ensuring our renowned level of fantastic projects for our clients, all the while making sure all works are carried out safely, on time and budget and to a high standard. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising a team in executing construction and refurbishment works, involving a lot of landscaping related works within our specialist pond environment!
- Oversee the utilisation of hand tools, power tools, and other machinery to complete projects efficiently where necessary.
- Ensure daily work schedules and targets are met, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects whilst being a hands on leader.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver customised solutions.
- Ensure proper maintenance of all tools and machinery used by the team.
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety protocols across all operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pond construction and refurbishment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, pond filter and pump systems.
- Knowledge of fish and ponds.
- Good knowledge of hard landscaping works including paving, concreting, pond plumbing and basic electrics (beneficial but not essential). Also a problem solving and analytical mindset to pre-empt challenges and overcome them on site.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, team members and our office team.
- A valid driver’s licence is essential. A van, mobile phone, company credit card and all required tools etc will be provided.
Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
