Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a school in Blackpool. This is a long-term role with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.
The school is looking for somebody who can build positive relationships with pupils, provide consistent support and help children overcome barriers to learning.
Supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Helping children to access learning and classroom activities
Supporting pupils with communication, behaviour and emotional regulation
Working alongside teaching staff and pastoral teams
Encouraging confidence, independence and positive engagement with school
Experience working with children or young people
A calm, patient and reliable approach
Strong relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND
Experience with autism, SEMH, behavioural needs or complex needs is desirable
Relevant experience may come from schools, care work, youth services, residential support, coaching or similar environments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
