Job Overview
We Simply Care Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Care Assistant to support individuals in their own homes across East Bergholt, Brantham, Manningtree, Holbrook, Bentley, Capel St Mary, and nearby villages. You will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our service users by assisting with day-to-day tasks and providing warm, person-centred care.
Duties
- Provide support with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and general domestic tasks.
- Administer or prompt medication, following agreed care plans.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients living independently.
- Accurately record visit notes and any concerns using our mobile care app.
- Liaise with family members and the office to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Drive to and between client visits in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your care knowledge and skills.
Skills & Requirements
- A caring, empathetic, and professional approach to working with vulnerable adults.
- Good spoken and written English communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car – this is essential for the role.
- Confidence using a smartphone or app to log visit details.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions reliably.
- A willingness to complete a DBS check (paid for by us).
- Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential – full training provided.

About the Role
This is a community-based position supporting clients in East Bergholt, Brantham, Manningtree, Holbrook, Bentley, Capel St Mary, and nearby villages. You will use your own vehicle to visit multiple clients during your shift and must be able to travel reliably between locations.
