We are seeking to recruit a cook to work along side the kitchen team and cook nutritious healthy meals that our residents will love. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care to our service user. You will liase with our home manager, nutritional therapist and staff to ensure high quality fresh home cooked food is provided every day including the provision of special diet to cater for thier needs for some service user.
Skills/Qualifications: Catering and cooking experience is essential, NVQ 2 in catering and hospitality or professional cookery, a minimum level 2 food hygiene certificate.
The role
Preparing, cooking and serving meals for residents as required in a timely manner
Providing a varied diet, catering for the cutural preferences of those who use our service.
Catering for celebrations and other events in our home.
Ordering supplies with catering budget and company policy guidelines, using approved suppliers.
Maintaining high standard of hygiene within the kitchen as adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
Assisting in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring adherence to Health & Safety policies.
