We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our children’s residential home in Plymouth, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and additional complex needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care that is tailored to the individual needs of each young person, promoting positive outcomes, independence, and wellbeing. You will oversee the effective management of the home, maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory and safeguarding standards, and lead a committed team of care professionals to deliver exceptional support.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people. Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, communication needs, and behaviours of concern would be highly beneficial.
As a Registered Manager, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. You will work collaboratively with families, social workers, healthcare professionals, and education providers to ensure each child receives the highest standard of care and support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding practices, and person-centred care, alongside the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team committed to making a meaningful difference in young people’s lives.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a children’s residential care setting
- Experience in a management role, ideally as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager
- Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and person-centred care practices
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
