Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to a 70 yr old Male who is suffering from stroke, fostering his development and wellbeing. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those you support, working within a caring and professional environment. The pay is as per this package of 7hours a week for 1 hr @ £13p/hr every morning at 6:30am for the start. This will be ideal for a female leaving in this area and meaning you don't have to travel.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and confidence
- Engage in mentoring activities that encourage positive behaviour and social skills
- Assist children with daily routines, including educational activities, leisure, and personal care where appropriate
- Support children in developing life skills through teaching and practical demonstrations
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment at all times
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and other professionals to ensure holistic support plans are implemented effectively
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to working with children and supporting their development
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mentoring experience or background in teaching is advantageous
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiastic attitude towards supporting children's growth and learning
- Willingness to undertake relevant training programmes to develop professional skills
Pay: From £4,368.00 per hour
