We are looking to recruit an experienced Chef de Partie to join our great team of professional and dedicated individuals. Are you energetic, resourceful and love being busy?
The main responsibilities/requirements for the role will be (but not limited to):
- Using your previous experience and training you will be able to run either Larder or Sauce sections plus be a prompt problem solver that can think on your feet
- Reporting to the Senior CDP and Sous chef we require a good communicator that can help effectively prevent issues or know how to handle them if they do happen
- Planning prep, section orders and organising your section are absolutely essential
- Working to strict cleanliness and organisation skills are key.
- FOH and BOH relations are strong and well established with great respect on both sides, we want to keep it that way so a professional and understanding approach is required
- Keen to learn new skills working within a freshly prepared food environment
- Assisting the chefs with food service
- Always maintaining the highest standards by following recipes and presentation specifications
- Take responsibility for portion control and wastage to ensure GP’s are achieved
- Assisting with stock control, replenishment, stock rotation and storage of deliveries
- Always work within agreed Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements, demonstrating high standards of personal hygiene in terms of both appearance and working practices
- Periodical menu changes & planning is shared as a team, bring your experience and knowledge with you. We love creating!
- The kitchen is very spacious, well equipped with modern kit and also air conditioned
- We support a varied shift pattern with a few breakfast-lunch shifts, some splits and straights. We also like to get someone away early on a Sunday
- Sunday lunches are well established as one of the best in Yorkshire and we love doing them! Best quality suppliers across the board and we are proud of them.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ previous hotel/restaurant/gastro pub line cook experience as a JCDP or CDP and will have a genuine passion for food and driving the team forward. Basic Food Hygiene Qualification advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
