Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bournemouth is seeking enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join their specialist SEND Provision from September. This is a full-time opportunity to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a nurturing and well-resourced environment.
The successful candidates will work closely with teachers, SEND professionals and pastoral staff to provide tailored support that enables pupils to thrive both academically and socially.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with ASC and SEMH needs within a specialist SEND Provision
Delivering targeted interventions and personalised learning activities
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Promoting emotional regulation, independence and engagement in learning
Working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists and families
Supporting pupils both within the provision and during integration opportunities across the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASC and/or SEMH
A calm, patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
Previous experience within a school, SEND provision or similar setting is desirable
