Ashbys of Kingsbridge and Salcombe, a local family owned retailer, is currently looking for committed and conscientious individuals to join our brilliant cafe and shop team. Selling every conceivable product from farm shop and butchery to camping, watersports and food, there is always something interesting going on.
The post which could be based at our Salcombe or Kingsbridge branch involves all aspects of working in a busy cafe and shop including serving customers, pricing, merchandizing, till work. You could be making delicious fresh coffee, handling stock or helping customer queries. Its always an interesting varied day. On the job training will be provided.
Honesty, work ethic and good people skills are important. It will include some weekend work. Good rates of pay. Progression and extra opportunities possible in a growing company. Plenty of free parking on site as well as nearby bus stop and cycle route. So come on, join the team!
Qualifications that help
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in merchandising and retail operations
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and customer service best practices
- Knowledge of the local market and community engagement
