Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to operate tramper/day shift lorries on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, primarily using tipping trailer, across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations to join a reputable logistics team. Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 lorries, predominantly tipping vehicles, during tramper/day shifts
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations
- Load and secure goods onto the tipping lorry, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety measures are followed
- Deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner, adhering to scheduled routes and delivery windows
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
- Maintain communication with the dispatch team regarding progress, delays, or issues encountered during shifts
- Follow all legal requirements related to commercial driving, including tachograph regulations and driver hours legislation
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tipping vehicles or similar equipment
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for HGV operation
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as securing loads and performing vehicle inspections
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules efficiently and meet delivery deadlines
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Experience in delivery driving is highly desirable, with an emphasis on safe handling of goods and customer service excellence

Pay: £200.00-£280.00 per day
