Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team in a bustling restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Support the chef in food preparation and cooking tasks
- Assist in meal preparation including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and assembling dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Help with catering orders and food service as required
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food preparation methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding of food safety practices and procedures
