- Salary: £28,000 – £36,000 per year
- Hours: Full-time, All year round. 40 hours per week
Role of the Nursery Manager
We are excited to be recruiting for a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Manager to join our brand-new day nursery at an early and exciting stage of development.
With the setting currently being refurbished, this is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping a high-quality environment where children can thrive, learn, and feel safe. You will lead the nursery with energy and vision, creating a nurturing space where a little bit of magic happens every day.
Responsibilities of the Nursery Manager
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education
- Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team to deliver best practice
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted requirements, EYFS, and safeguarding policies
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Recruit, induct, and develop a high-performing team
- Maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for all children
Requirements for the Nursery Manager Role
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Positive, proactive, and reflective approach to work
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in nursery management (essential)
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted requirements
- Experience working within a nursery setting
