Overview
The person will have responsibility for the organisation and efficient running of an 18,000 square foot storage and despatch warehouse. Daily activity is fluid and can be unpredictable therefore organisation and decision making in the moment is key, whilst ensuring that the customer expectations and employee moral are key to the decisions made. Management of the team will be more directive, however when required and to meet the requirements of the customer and business the Warehouse Manager will be expected to step in.
The ideal candidate will have and be able to demonstrate the following attributes:-
- Organising the daily activity and prioritising deliveries
- Ensuring quality is achieved with every order
- Total charge of incoming and outing deliveries
- Ensure monthly stock takes are accurate and discrepancies are identified
- HR discipline for a team of 5
- Continual improvement is at the forefront of all activities
- Training, Appraisal and onboarding of new employees against a structured training procedure
- Health & Safety of the employees is maintained, and RA and MS are reviewed within the require timescales
- Chair daily wake up meetings and ensure actions allocated are completed within the required timescale
Hours of work – 7.30am – 4.30 and 7.30 – 4.00 on Friday
