CCT (or within 6 months of) in Cardiology or equivalent qualification
Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Is up to date and fit to practise safely
Should have completed a recognised training programme in Cardiology.
Must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in Cardiology and particularly in assessment and management of valvular disease.
Evidence of continuous career progression consistent with personal circumstances.
Evidence of experience at a high level in transthoracic and transoesophageal echo (either holding or actively working towards recognised accreditation).
Evidence of the ability to carry out medical research.
All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
Experience in training undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors.
Experience of participation in regular clinical audit.
Hold full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
Eligible for entry on the GMC Specialist Register via:

European qualification equivalent to CCT
Evidence of experience in cardiac MRI and interventional TOE to support structural intervention. Some experience of cardiac CT to plan structural intervention (desirable)
Previous experience of supervising research by junior staff.(desirable)
