Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of exceptional dishes while developing your professional culinary career. The position is fully paid and suitable for individuals with a background in food preparation and restaurant experience. A minimum of 16hrs per week, up to 30 in busy periods.
Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Oversee the presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet quality standards before serving
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including utensils and equipment
- Support meal preparation for special events or menu changes as required
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to the head chef
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
- Previous kitchen experience with a focus on meal preparation and serving
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in a professional environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in food safety are desirable but not essential
