We are recruiting flexible Nursery Agency Workers to cover nurseries in the SW10 Chelsea postcode. Be part of our successful well established agency, committed to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. Looking for someone dynamic, passionate and excited about childcare. The nurseries cater to help develop and grow children aged 0-5 years.
Are you 18 years and over looking for flexible weekly working hours? Do you an early years qualification L2 or above or EYT/QTS or have experience working with in early years or preschools? Can you commit to minimum 2 weekdays with weekly availability working 8 hour shifts between 8am to 6pm?
Job Specification for Nursery Agency Worker:
- Flexible with days on a weekly basis to work around your commitments but we need weekly availability, ideally 2-4 days per week working 8am to 6pm shifts
- Ideally have a full and relevant early years qualification L2 or above or have QTS/EYT status but we will consider unqualified with experience
- Have experience working in a nursery, school, as a nanny, teacher/tutor
- Have a children's workforce DBS on the update system or be willing to purchase one and register it on the update system
- Have a valid FULL 12h paediatric first aid or be willing to pay for one through us
- Have safeguarding L2 (we can offer this free of charge once you start)
What we offer a Nursery Agency Worker:
- We offer an hourly pay rate structure that pays according to qualification level up to £15.20ph for a qualified EY teacher/QTS (each qualification level has it's own rate)
- Your rate includes rolled up holiday pay and we DO NOT use an umbrella payroll company so you pay NO fees
- We offer flexibility around your weekly available days (they do not need to be the same every week)
- You will be auto enrolled onto a Workplace Pension Scheme unless you choose to opt out
Nursery Agency Worker Role Responsibilities:
- Making sure that you are always engaging with the children.
- Interact with them, help them with breakfast/snacks/lunch/dinner (according to the nursery food hygiene practices)
- Help put them to sleep (according to nursery safe sleep practices)
- Play with them, helping the children learn and participating with the tidying up
- You will work between the age ranges of 0-5 years (babies, toddlers, and pre-school)
- This role includes sometimes working in more than one nursery setting within reasonable distance from your home.
- The position is flexible working which can work around your weekly availability
- You must also have a DBS on the update system or be willing to pay for one through us and then register it on the update service
- You will be expected to work between 8am and 6pm but shift patterns will vary according to the requests of the hirer’s/clients
- Arrive on time
- Follow the mobile phone / smartwatch procedures
- Support children’s learning through play
- Help with tidying up
Personal Specification:
- Interactive - Being playful, smiling and chatting with the children
- Patience - Give the children time to get to know you and to have a go at practicing their knowledge and skills
- Empathy - Think about how the children are feeling in different situations
- Initiative - Engage with the children and help keep the room tidy
- Experience working with early years age group
