HGV DRIVER'S NEEDED - FULL TIME TRAMPER DRIVER
HGV Class 1 Drivers Wanted – Full-Time

Positions Available: Full-time tramper drivers, part-time day drivers and part-time night drivers
Positions Frequency : Weekly (2 weeks in hand)
Pay:
- Tramper Drivers: £190 per shift / £950 per week
We are currently looking for reliable, professional and experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a busy UK haulage operation based in Bradford.
We have opportunities available for full-time tramper drivers. The work is mainly general haulage, with a focus on curtain-sider trailer work. Drivers must be confident with ratchet strapping, securing loads correctly and working safely and professionally at all times.
This role would suit drivers who are dependable, flexible, safety-conscious and able to communicate clearly with the transport office, customers and other members of the team.
Available roles:
Full-Time Tramper Drivers
- General haulage work
- Curtain-sider trailer work
- Tramping work with nights out
- Start and finish in Bradford
- £190 per shift / £950 per week
Main duties will include:
- Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally
- Carrying out general haulage deliveries and collections
- Working mainly with curtain-sider trailers
- Securing loads safely using ratchet straps
- Opening and closing curtains safely
- Ensuring all loads are secure before departure
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Following driver hours, working time and tachograph regulations
- Communicating clearly with the transport office throughout the shift
- Providing updates on delays, traffic, delivery issues or customer concerns
- Completing paperwork, PODs and delivery notes accurately
- Using a professional and courteous approach with customers and site staff
- Keeping the vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy
- Following all company health and safety procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid UK HGV Class 1 / C+E licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Curtain-sider experience preferred
- Experience using ratchet straps and securing loads safely
- Good knowledge of driver hours and tachograph rules
- Good communication skills
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic
- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Good attention to detail when completing vehicle checks and paperwork
- Flexibility with start times, finish times and routes
- Previous experience tramping
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence
- Must hold a valid Driver CPC qualification
- Must hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Must be confident with curtain-sider work
- Must be able to strap loads securely using ratchet straps
- Must be able to start and finish in Bradford
- Must be reliable, professional and safety-conscious
- Previous general haulage experience is preferred
- No major driving endorsements preferred
