Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Front of House Waiting Staff to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills within a vibrant environment, providing memorable experiences for our guests. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables with a friendly demeanour
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems and relay them efficiently to the kitchen team
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any special requests or concerns
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, cutlery, and condiments
- Follow food safety standards and procedures at all times, including proper handling of food and beverages
- Assist with basic food preparation when required, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage time effectively during service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Provide excellent guest services by being attentive, courteous, and professional at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving procedures, upselling techniques, and guest engagement skills are a plus
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude are essential for creating a welcoming environment
- Ability to work well under pressure during busy service hours while maintaining attention to detail
